His true character

His words often lack sincerity and truth. Just one week after we suffered the devastating loss of our child due to a miscarriage, he chose to walk away. One night he said, “I love you, we’ll get through this together,” and the very next day, he disappeared—completely ghosted me.

Instead of offering support during what was undeniably the darkest time of my life, he packed all of my belongings into a garbage bag and handed them over as if I meant nothing. When I was broken and just needed the one person who truly understood the depth of my grief, he left.

His excuse? He said he couldn’t comfort me and needed to prioritize himself. And that’s exactly who he is—someone who will always put himself first. No one will ever be enough for him, because he doesn’t have the capacity to show up for anyone but himself.

He is a textbook dismissive avoidant: emotionally unavailable, detached, and quick to flee when intimacy or vulnerability is required. No matter how much you believe he loves you, the moment you need him most, he will run. He doesn’t stay. He protects himself, even at the expense of those who love him.
